MAIDIN (Gaelic for morning) is a women’s youth vocal ensemble that performs and teaches Celtic music and folklore. Work on their first single is presently underway.
- Help the Troops Program -
The origins of MAIDIN and the Danny Boy recording arose from a family striving to use their music in support of a local veterans program. Building on this, the Classical Heritage Foundation (CHF) is in the process of putting together a “Help the Troops” program. Individuals, businesses, or organizations that are interested are encouraged to contact the CHF and get involved. Updates on this program will be posted as it unfolds.

The National Anthem – a 9/11 Tribute is an orchestral arrangement written in the summer of 2002 as a memorial to the 9/11 tragedy and a tribute to the nation’s devotion to liberty. An accompanying Dedication poem was written as well, and a copy of the original manuscript was presented to the White House that summer. This arrangement is scored for symphonic orchestra, Asian-Indian instruments, acoustic guitars, and an expanded percussion section (a 43 instrument orchestral ensemble).
The orchestral score is available upon request by contacting the Foundation’s music and arts store (contact/call for details).
A concept demo CD has been created using a synthesis of pre-recorded orchestra sounds (utilizing state of the art samples, technology and production techniques (2005)). This makes for an excellent teaching tool for an orchestra performing the piece.
